Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg made a significant statement on his Facebook page over the weekend. After rumors and speculations that his recent quest to visit every state was politically driven, The Zuck made a long, detail-heavy post specifying the true reasons on traveling around the country. He says that he’s trying to build relationships and to gain a “broader perspective” and how new people “provide a new source of support and inspiration.” The post had his location tagged as “Newport, RI”.
Gotta love this move from America’s favorite nerd. Imagine being able to take a sabbatical from work to vacation all over the country and people immediately think you’re making a run for office. That’s when you know you completely dominate life (in case being worth $60 billion didn’t do it for him). Next time you need to request time off of work, convince your boss that vacationing in Punta Cana isn’t for leisure and that you’re really just trying to gain a broader perspective. It probably won’t work but worth a shot. Maybe you’ll get the company card. That’s all you can hope for.
