We can’t wait for the Newport Wine & Food Festival this weekend!

Become your most bourgeois self this weekend at the “most refined and polished wine event in the Northeast” hosted by the Newport Mansions this Thursday through Sunday, September 21-24. Bump elbows with Newport’s finest and indulge in hors d’oeuvres and hundreds of wines at the two-day Grand Tasting held on the lawn of Marble House this Saturday and Sunday. Celebrity chefs, both locally and nationally renowned, will be in appearance and perform cooking demonstrations as well as educational seminars. At the Monogram Culinary Stage chefs will dish out tips and share and sample their favorite recipes. On Saturday, come see Chef Karen Akunowicz from Myers & Chang, Chef Terence Feury of Forty 1º North, and Chef Kevin O’Donnell from SRV. Don’t miss Chef Robert Gonzalez of Cultivar, Chef Brooke Vosika from Sawkill Creek, or Josh Berman of Revolving Door Restaurant on Sunday.

Celebrity chef and grillmaster Linkie Marais will be hosting the chef entertainment at the Outdoor Kitchen Design Grill Garden near the Chinese Tea House. Saturday’s lineup features Chef Brian Alberg of The Red Lion Inn, Chef Bill Manzo from Federal Hill Pizza, and Peter Kelly of Guittard Chocolate. Make sure to catch performances by Chef Linkie Marais, Chef Andy Teixeira from Brix at Newport Vineyards, and Chef Brett Portier from Smokehouse of New York.

If you’re only interested in the vino, add the Bubbles Beyond Champagne seminar event on Sunday. Wines featured include Domaine Carneros Brut (Carneros, CA), JJ Vincent Crémant de Bourgogne (Burgundy, FR), and Juvé y Camps Cava Rose (Penedes, ESP).
