Successful fundraiser means West Park Food Hall will become a reality

Thanks to the generous donations of hundreds of backers, the plan for the West Park Food Hall in Providence has been pushed through. Six-hundred and four good samaritans raised over one-hundred thousand dollars in order to fund this new establishment to be erected at 233 West Park Street. The idea for it came from David Dadekian and Katie Kleyla, the founders of Eat Drink RI.

The hall will be an upscale version of a food court with “multiple small restaurants, community seating, an expansive bar, and a rooftop deck” as well as a brewery and roastery, according to the the hall’s kickstarter website.

Since the original goal of $119,000 was surpassed, the team has a few reach goals: to build a food truck park in the parking lot of the hall, and to develop a commercial kitchen on the lower level. Gifts  such as coupons to local eateries to cooking classes to wine tastings are given out to all pledges above ten dollars. All the more reason to keep the donations coming!
