Sunday's Hangover Cure: The Masters

Nothing cures a hangover like The Masters. Golf is the most calming and relaxing sport you can watch. In other sports, you’re screaming at the TV and cursing out your girlfriend who thinks she knows what’s going on. Reason #1 why I’ve managed to stay single all these years (it’s actually cause I’m gross and sucky to be around). The Masters is a chill event where it’s not about who wins because golfers aren’t like other athletes. They aren’t cocky, there not douches or scumbags. Generally there all lovable and humble people who share the same dream of winning the green jacket, so it’s cool to see anyone win it. I’d love to see a younger guy take it home this year. I’ve jumped on the Jordan Spieth bandwagon but also keep an eye out for Rickie Fowler, who was one of the most promising amateurs over the past 10 years, but has yet to win a major. Plus his golf swag is off the charts. Matt Kuchar is another guy who could win it all. It seems like he’s always in contention, but never pulls through in the end, so it would be nice to see him win. Bubba Watson is at the top of the leaderboard, but I don’t see him pulling it off this year. He’s been in this situation before, but I see him missing a few crucial putts, which you can’t have in a tournament as close as this. Like I said, it’s not about who wins, cause golf is a sport where you can root for everyone. The player who doesn’t fall under the pressure, who bounces back after a bad shot, who hits a clutch shot when needed most, will be the one to take it home.
