When and where to watch 4th of July Fireworks in Rhode Island

First of all, happy 4th of July weekend! There’s no better place to celebrate this week than the Ocean State. 

Besides the patriotism, cookouts, and beer, the most iconic part of the holiday is the fireworks! Throughout the state there are a few different shows for you to enjoy between Sunday and Tuesday. 

Sunday, July 2:

Jamestown – East Ferry Beach, Canonicus Ave. Music on the town square at 7:30pm. Parking along Canonicus Ave. No rain date. Fireworks begin around 9:30pm

Monday, July 3:

East Providence – Pierce Memorial Stadium, 201 Mercer St. Food, Concessions and concert with Kicking Hole & Crushed Velvet followed by fireworks. Gates open at 6:00pm

Bristol – Bristol Harbor 259 Thames St. Fireworks begin at 9:00pm. Rain date 7/5/17

Tuesday, July 4

Newport – Fireworks start around 9:15pm. Best viewing is anywhere along the Newport Harbor, facing west. Rain date 7/5/17

Portsmouth – Independence Day Celebration. Fireworks display put on by the Escobar Family Farm on Middle Rd. Fireworks begin around 9:30pm
