Rhode Island Whiskey Wins "World Best" Award

Sons of Liberty craft distillery in South Kingstown received a “World’s Best” award in the “Best Flavored Whiskey” category for its seasonal Pumpkin Spice last week at the World Whiskies Awards in London.

Another win for the state of Rhode Island. Im not much of a whiskey guy, and as far as taste goes, I chaser everything like a bitch, so it doesn’t really matter to me. Honestly, I think anything pumpkin flavored is the most overrated thing in the world. People give it WAYYY too much credit. Every Thanksgiving people start obsessing over pumpkin pie and it pisses me off. I wish I could look forward to eating 2 types of pies but I can’t. Ill never know what thats like. Instead Im doubling up on apple pie and get weird looks from my relatives. I’ll give it a try every year just to remind myself how bad it is. Then theres Dunkins Donuts with their pumpkin donut and pumpkin coffee every Fall. Let me make this straight if you order a pumpkin donut over any other donut at DD I don’t respect you at all and probably should die. If it wasn’t a seasonal thing, people wouldn’t give two shits about it. You don’t look at a pumpkin on Halloween and say “man those look tasty I wish they could flavor all my favorite foods and whiskeys”. Im not one to rant but this has gone on for way too long. Its just not that good so stop lying to yourselves.

Anyway…..congrats to Sons of Liberty Whiskey. Your state loves you. Keep doing big things RI
